4W Fuse Board, 2 x 200A Fusebanks

Blakley Electrics FB/2 series of double-pole fuse boards meet Sellafield Limited requirements. The boards are intended for heavy duty, industrial installations and are equipped with Cooper Bussmann (formerly GEC) Red Spot fusebanks rated at 200A.

Enclosure
Enclosures are wall mounting, incorporate external mounting brackets and provide protection to IP54. They are of robust construction, fabricated from 1.5mm sheet steel and are seam welded. Undrilled top and bottom gland plates are provided. Doors are side hinged and fitted with quarter-turn fasteners, a key lock, facility for a padlock and a welded steel A4 document pocket. Both door and gland plates are cross bonded to the main M10 enclosure earth point utilising 4.0mm² G/Y PVC cable. No inset plate is provided (in accordance with Sellafield Limited requirements). Enclosures are at least as large as their GEC equivalents, thus avoiding temperature rise and cable access problems.

The enclosures are protected against corrosion by a high quality, outdoor finishing system comprising of a zinc phosphate pre-treatment followed by polyester powder coating. The colour is Dark Admiralty Grey (BS 4800 18B25).

Circuitry
Fitted with 2 no. 4 way, 200A Red Spot fusebanks incorporating black fuse carriers. Incoming and outgoing cables terminate directly onto the fusebanks and associated earth bar (see below). Fuses are ordered separately.
Double-pole boards do not incorporate a neutral bar and are typically used to distribute single-phase, 110V, centre-tapped to earth (RLV) supplies but can be used for other “double pole” AC applications up to 400V.

Earth provision
An earth bar is provided towards the bottom of each board; it is fully rated, made from HDHC copper and unshrouded (in accordance with Sellafield Limited requirements). The bar has an incoming M20 stud connection and a separate M12 connection point for each fuse carrier. An M10 external earth stud is provided, bonded back to the earth bar. The bar is marked with appropriate labelling detailing circuit designations.

Non-Sellafield Installations
For non-Sellafield installations, please contact us if you require: (i) inset plates to be fitted, which provide extra shielding to the fuse bank terminals when the door is open and / or (ii) shrouding of neutral and earth bars in accordance with BS EN 61439-3.
