ARC series of high current Modular Residual Current Device (MRCD) configured for top cable entry and bottom exit. Assembly incorporates a Type B RCD in accordance with BS EN 60947-2 (annex M), which is designed to detect and respond to smooth DC residual currents, which are often present in equipment incorporating variable speed drives such as tower cranes, hoists and lifts. The assembly also incorporates over current and short-circuit protection.
Enclosure
Wall mounting all-insulated enclosure providing protection to IP55. The enclosure incorporates a side hinged door and removable steel gland plate for glanding a SWA load cable.
Enclosure dimensions: 530H x 430W x 200D mm.
MCB
Fitted with a 100A 4P MCB with switched neutral. The MCB is fitted with a shunt-trip.
RCD
The assembly incorporates an MRCD-B series earth leakage sensor with sensitivity adjustable at increments between 0.1A to 3A and time delay adjustable from 0.1 to 10 seconds. The sensor operates the shunt-trip incorporated within the associated MCB.
Terminations
The incoming supply terminates directly on to the MCB, which is shrouded to IP2X. The load cable terminates on to distribution terminal blocks (the sensor CT is pre-wired in flexible cable).
