Custom Range of Containerised Switchboards

The use of ISO containers to house high current switchboards can bring benefits in applications such as Civil Engineering or Mineral Extraction in remote or extreme locations, Temporary Camps for humanitarian or military use, and large scale Outdoor Events or Festivals.

In addition to simplifying transport arrangements, containers allow switchgear to be installed in a controlled atmosphere and provide physical protection for equipment and operators.

Containerised boards are designed and made to order and the Blakley Project Team are available to attend planning meetings to discuss detailed requirements.

In addition to the main switchboard, containers typically incorporate:

• a side personnel door (in addition to the main double doors)
• integral lighting, heating and forced ventilation
• small power outlets with RCD protection
• other equipment can be incorporated as required.

Facility is usually provided for the internal auxiliary equipment to be fed from the main switchboard within the container or from an external source (when the assemblies are in long term storage).
