GIFA Series Ground Mounted Box

GIFA/LL series ground mounted box and lift-out in-filled lid, 2 way, Standard Duty (meeting requirements of FACTA Class B).

Ground mounted box with lift-out, in-filled lid, designed to accept suitable GFA series distribution assemblies, to provide plug-in supply points for market stalls and other temporary loads in pedestrian precincts or car parks. The lid is designed to accept bricks or blocks (in-fill) which will be flush with ground level when fitted (by others).

To access the distribution assembly, the lid must be lifted out but the design of the lid achieves a primary aim of the product, which is to avoid creating obstacles or barriers for pedestrians or vehicles. The lid need only be removed for the purpose of inserting or removing the load connections. It can be replaced and locked shut at all other times, including when in use. Please note: once fixed in position, the GFA series distribution assembly is static within the GIFA/LL/SD.

The box has a 150mm diameter drainage hole in the base and removable plates in three sides for cable entry and exit. The lid is lockable and keys are supplied separately (two required per lid). The complete assembly is hot dip galvanized to BS729.

Consideration should be given to the adequacy of the drainage away from the box.
