Distribution Board Meter Chamber

Meter chamber, IP66, designed to be fitted to the top and / or bottom of a Blakley Electrics, heavy duty, 200A, TP&N, MCB distribution board or multi-service MCB distribution board. The meter chamber is fully wired and fitted with a non-MID approved, kWHr meter with pulsed output and is complete with CTs (200:5 ratio), auxiliary fuses, etc. The meter is a multi-function device and can also measure volts, amps, PF, etc. The standard CTs will accept a cable with a maximum cross section of 120mm2.

Please note: Spreader boxes are factory fit items and cannot be purchased as loose items for the installer to fit.

Enclosure
Robust sheet steel enclosure of seam welded construction providing protection to IP66. The enclosure incorporates a side hinged, padlockable door and external fixing lugs. The meter is fitted behind the hinged door. they are to be fitted. The enclosure is protected against corrosion by a high quality, outdoor finish comprising of a zinc phosphate pre-treatment followed by electrostatically applied and oven dried polyester powder paint, shade Dark Admiralty Grey (BS 4800 shade 18B25).
For corrosive environments enclosures can be fabricated from stainless steel, which will greatly extend the working life of the product. Please contact us for details.
