B3+ Mains distribution Assemblies with Socket Outlets

Overview

We offer a standard range of 125A and 250A Mains Distribution Assemblies fitted with socket outlets, which are primarily aimed at the construction sector. Other sectors, such as Events and Generator Hire, also have a requirement for outdoor distribution assemblies with sockets, but the standard construction product doesn’t always offer the required flexibility. With that in mind, we now offer the B3+ range, which can cater for a far wider range of socket and protection options.

B3+ distribution assemblies have incoming devices rated up to 250A and are assembled to order. The enclosure has been designed with flexibility in mind and many different combinations of socket can be accommodated. We can even offer the ability for customers to reconfigure units, so that they can change a
63A socket to a 16A, or a 16A socket to a 63A.

The B3+ enclosure is rated at IP55 and is wall mounting. A stand kit is available for free-standing, or the enclosure can be mounted within a crash frame with fork lift truck pockets (crash frames can also be relocated using a pump-up). The door incorporates a stay, which enhances operator safety when the assembly is used in windy conditions.

Incoming devices can be switch disconnectors, MCBs or MCCBs rated up to 250A. The incoming supply enters through the underside of the enclosure and can be hard wired, or it can be a flexible lead with 125A plug, or a set of panel mounted drain Powerlocks. Incoming test sockets can also be incorporated, allowing installation tests to be carried out without exposing live parts. The incomer is aways accessible for emergency isolation, even when the main door is padlocked. The incomer can also be padlocked in the OFF position.

Sockets can be 230V or 400V, and rated from 16A to 125A. At 16A or 32A they can be to IP44 or IP67. At 63A and 125A they are always IP67. Sockets can be fitted to both sides of the enclosure, and also to the underside.

Protection of sockets can be via RCBO, MCB / RCCB combination or MCB and variable RCD combination. The physical size of the enclosure and the space within will dictate the combination of sockets and protection that can be accommodated.
